Charly's Play

Charly was a little elf in the play, The Littlest Reindeer." Her line was: "And then we had the reindeer, with polished horn and hoof, waiting to land dear Santa Clause on everybody's roof."
She was fantastic! And there was yummy cookies for everyone at the end of the play. Grandma Gutierrez and Uncle Sal came and we took Seongmen, our neighbor, with us.
Charly says, "I didn't see my mom or my sisters or Seong until my mom stood up to clap and hollar for me."

Trip to Seattle

During the Thanksgiving week we took everyone(cept working Rex) to Seattle to hang out in the Children's Museum. They had the Seattle Center decked out for Christmas with a model train and everything. It was a blast. Sabrina and I even won a game that let me open Mr. Potatoes Head's butt to see his "booty." The girls had a blast dodging the water at the huge fountain. They are so crazy.

Shake your booty!

My new game of Rachet and Clank has a part where your character must dance the Pirate Jig. I turn around and there is Mikey doing the same dance. Now it's one of her favorite past times. Isn't she cute?

Santa at Poulsbo

Here we are at Poulsbo's Winter Festival. Santa came on a firetruck. I got a new camera. Can't you tell the difference! Yeah so Ineed to practice a bit more. Guess there is more to Photography then a good camera. Who knew!

Veterens Day

We went to Charly's Veteren's Day Assembly and Charly sang a few songs for us. Then Rex and got to get a red carnation.

Taylor and Mikey loved the songs! Charly was so cute. She was so proud her daddy was there in his uniform. All her class mates were impressed. It's all she's been talking about since. I'm so glad Rex got the day off!

Sonar!

The first Saturday of the month is Kids day at the Naval Museum. This month was all about sound and sonar. The girls got to dance with Bubbles the Diver, make music out of interesting objects and get their face painted. All while learning about sound and how our ears work. I learned that Taylor is a natural brass player!

Halloween

Charly and I were the dread pirates that had kidnapped the princess Makayla when the brave Batgirl (Taylor) arrived to rescue her! This was what the girls wanted to be for Halloween. And Rex was...well....Rex, a disgruntled sailor.
For Halloween we went everywhere! Starting at Charly's school where we cheered her on in the parade. Then after the rest of us got into costumes we went to Best Buy where they took our family picture. Which was great and also is a print so as to my lack of a scanner you'll have to visit to see it. But the girls and I went trick or treating to each department while Rex shopped the store.
Then it was off the Toys-R-Us where we were 20mins late for their last parade so the girls got the goodie bag with no candy. Which was fine because they loaded up on candy later!

We got some fast food and ate at the church parking lot waiting for trunker treat to begin. After a successful collection of candy at trunker treat we headed home to trick or treat our own

neighborhood so we could show off the girls to all our neighbors. It was pretty late but we caught up with most of them. The girls got buckets of candy, literally I have three buckets full of candy in my kitchen now. But we had alot of fun!

Charly with bubble hair!

This is one of those, "Oh if only I kept the camera on her!" moments. For as I pull the camera down to watch her kicking legs she sloshes the bubbles into her hair. Which was a priceless sight. Hehehe!

Militay Fall Festival

We went with the Warners. I got so many pens and tooth brushes to last me about four years! And the girls got a 4lb bag of candy. Every booth had candy and told them to take as much as they wanted. You know my girls, they were fisting it into their bags! The boot camp was fun.....for me to watch! The girls said it was fun but looked really tired. They lost the obstacle course but Charly's team won the tug-a-war. They got to save people to but I missed that, I was distracted by Olive Garden giving out soup.

We played guitar hero at the Best Buy booth. Mikey sang American Woman with Charly on the drums. Taylor played the guitar to some weird song I've never heard of before. Even I got in the action playing guitar. They gave me a t-shirt that says "guitar hero 2 rocks" and the girls got little Dalmatians. So much fun to rock out!

Taylor is 5 :)

Taylor's birthday was going to be a day at the church property with swimming, boating and archery but the rain made it into a day at chucky cheese.

Taylor was very serious about the shooting games.

I made her cake: Hershey Chocolate cake with Mrs. Robinson's fudge in the center and whipped Hershey fudge for the frosting, sprinkled with Hershey bar shavings. Talk about suger overload!

Overall I think Taylor had a great birthday!

Fast Trip

Sal couldn't get a ride from Bremerton to BYU Idaho so mom and I drove him down to the middle of nowhere: Battleground WA. There we promptly got lost trying to find the house of the girl Bud was getting a ride to Idaho from.

Right off his mission and riding 12 hours with a single girl? He's never gonna last in college.

We spent the night at Gene and Shelly's. The girls got to ride horses and follow the white cat everywhere. She's a really nice cat but Taylor's constant holding got the best of her temper and she scratched Taylor. Still didn't stop Taylor. Poor cat...:p

We stopped off at the Portland Temple for pics. I'd never been there. Very beautiful. The girls started dancing to the music of the lawnmower. Yes, their a creative bunch!

Picnic in the Park

Nothing's better then Hamburgers in the Park! I told the girls to get there sandals on and even fought with Charly to get her out of her long sleeve sweater. We settled on her bring her light jacket Grandma Martin gave her. So when the sunny day turned into a downpour Charly was the only one not shivering. I think this is what my mom refers to as "Murphy's Luck."

Bike Ralley

It's a "Walley!" The girls got to clean and dress up their bikes for a bike parade. Then they put their numbers on their plates to the test, with a race! I doubt they had any idea of what the race was supposed to be. Most of the kids just looked at the cheering moms in confusion. But oh was it fun! And the drive through lady was awsome! Mmmm Astro Pops!

They also went through an obstical cousre which became adventurous after the older kids started moving the cones while the younger kids were trying to figure out where they were supposed to go. Little buggers!

My Birthday

We just celebrated my birthday with a murder! A Muder Mystery that is... One I adapted from one I found on the internet. It is actually a book of mormon story of all things! We had a blast playing. Rex turned out to be the murderer but no one believed him. Even when he was confessing my Dad kept trying to point the blame on my Mom. My parents had never seen the theatrical side of Rex so this was fun:

Then we set off firworks at my house. Rex and Brad had a battle with tanks. Rex blames his failure to dominate on the fire starter I gave him. I guess he can't cope with the fact he's a slow fireworks starter. his tanks got fired on before he could even get them lit. But our neighbors drove by and smashed most of brad's tanks so Rex claimed victory by his suprise crushing tank (a Saturn View).
